Virtual Classroom Technical Producers Needed - Virtual Team, Flexible Schedule

InSync Training is seeking Virtual Classroom Technical Producers that speak Chinese, Japanese, or Spanish.  Experience with WebEx Training Center and Adobe Connect a plus. Additional competencies are located at the end of this post.

All contract positions are virtual, and candidates can expect up to 20 hours per week.

Virtual Technical Producer Competencies

Virtual Technical Producers provide technical support to facilitators and participants during live online training sessions, events or meetings.   They play a crucial role in the virtual classroom as they are there to mitigate the negative impact of potential technical, instructional or behavioral issues that may occur. 

Competencies are the measurable or observable knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviors (KSABs)critical to successful performance. 

Competencies in this role can be categorized into the following areas:

  • Ownership- Self-motivated KSABs  specific  to individual functions within the Competency Model for Virtual Learning
  • Preparation- KSABs demonstrated prior to delivery
  • Execution- KSABs demonstrated during and after delivery

Ownership

  • Completes administrative tasks as required to ensure a successful delivery
  • Supports the facilitator as requested before, during and after delivery
  • Advocates for participants before, during and after delivery
  • Maintains regular contact with participants, facilitator and project manager as necessary during and after delivery

Preparation

  • Initiates contact with the facilitator, designer and/or project manager when necessary to clarify design discrepancies and schedules meetings and/or rehearsals as needed
  • Maintains program materials, including revisions, in advance of and throughout delivery
  • Identifies technical support resources in advance including (but not limited to) IT support information and emergency contact plans

Execution

  • Demonstrates technological competencies in the chosen learning platform(s) for all activities identified in the design
  • Demonstrates “first in-last out” mentality by logging into platform no less than 30 minutes prior to delivery to test/set platform preferences outlined in design
  • Demonstrates verbal communication skills by varying intonation, avoiding clutter words, pacing speech and pausing when required
  • Clearly demonstrates the platform tools and outlines session preferences/resources to participants as required
  • Stimulates engagement with participants
  • Demonstrates multitasking ability throughout delivery by constantly monitoring technical functions of the platform
  •  Effectively and calmly diagnoses, troubleshoots and resolves technical problems that may hinder delivery
  •  Demonstrates a constant presence throughout delivery by responding quickly to facilitator and participant requests
