Virtually There Session Recap
“Brain-Based” learning is all the rage, but how can we use it to create engaging virtual learning?
It makes sense that we are suddenly talking about this approach to learning – it’s based on cognitive psychology, neuroscience, and technology. And it is largely based on the fact that ‘the brain is social’ and thrives in environments that encourage interaction and collaboration with others. In theory, that is when engagement happens. In practice, it’s our job to create those environments, and the virtual classroom has all the characters we need to make it happen.
But first, we need to understand that there are multiple ways to be engaged, and that the entire training team has a responsibility to make engagement happen. InSync’s research based InQuire Engagement Framework™ encourages designers, facilitators, and producers to foster environmental engagement, stimulate intellectual engagement, and nurture emotional engagement so learners can excel. It ensures that we are focusing not on technology but on relationships and content and requires full participation from everyone involved in the virtual learning process.
We believe that virtual classrooms can meet - or even exceed! - the standards you set for your face-to-face programs. By applying this framework, virtual excellence is in your grasp.
