Learners have the opportunity to engage with resources in all their moments of learning need, and instructional designers have the ability to address each learning objective authentically.

Comprehensive programs quickly become complex. How do we expect learners to navigate the experience thoughtfully and completely? We have to provide them with a map – a course map!

Just like a GPS for a road trip, a course map provides an “easy-to-follow visual representation of the lessons and activities specific to a blended course. It details the sequence of events, the types of learning activities, the anticipated length for each activity, and an indication of when each will take place.” Sounds great, right?
